Materials Design is sponsoring the Psi-k 2020 conference to be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, in September 2020.
Since its early days some 25 years ago, Psi-k has been an inspirational source for the advancement of density functional theory. What started as fundamental effort in theoretical and computational physics has now become an indispensable tool for fundamental as well as applied research used in thousands of laboratories in academia and industry around the globe. The growing Psi-k community and visionaries such as Volker Heine can be proud of this most remarkable accomplishment. Today, this field remains vibrant with an abundance of opportunities and challenges.
