Who should attend? This online training is perfect for researchers, engineers, and anyone interested in mastering MedeA for advanced computational modeling. Welcomed are MedeA beginners as well as experienced MedeA users, and those who have never used MedeA before. Whether you are new to the software or seeking to expand your skills, this session offers practical insights and valuable learning opportunities.

Training Details:

  • Date: February 25, 2025

  • Start Time:  8 am PST / 11 am EST / 5 pm CET

  • Duration: 4 hours (including breaks and Q&A sessions)

  • Platform: Virtual only (details will be provided upon registration)

  • Format: Attendees get access to MedeA to install the software on their computers. With the software successfully installed, each attendee can work through selected tutorials with the assistance of the support team of Materials Design.

  • Fee: $300 per participant

Training Agenda:

  • Hour 1: Introduction to MedeA LAMMPS, how to build molecular liquid structures, obtain transport properties, and compute structural properties.

  • Hour 2: Overview of tools for building polymer systems and monitoring equilibration by use of single-chain structural properties.

  • Hour 3: Building procedures for both liquid–liquid and solid–solid interfacial systems and the computation of interfacial tension.

  • Hour 4: Advanced workflows and building steps including the construction of semicrystalline polymers, condensing the results of many simulations into tabular output, and how to customize and extend existing MedeA LAMMPS workflows.

What You Will Receive:

  • Access to comprehensive training materials.

  • Live demonstrations and hands-on practice sessions.

  • Expert guidance from seasoned professionals.

  • 14-day evaluation license for MedeA LAMMPS to continue your exploration after the live session.

MedeA Hardware Requirements:
For a satisfactory training participation we highly recommend that the attendees install MedeA on their computers. After successful registration you will get access to MedeA. MedeA runs on Intel and AMD-based hardware whereby the operating system is either Windows or Linux. ARM-based hardware such as the Apple M1 CPU is not supported!
